The Expats by Chris Pavone
Kate and Dexter Moore live in Washington, D.C. with their young sons. He's a computer scientist who works with Internet security, and suddenly wants to move to Luxembourg for work. She's ready to leave her secret job at the CIA so she packs their bags.
In Luxembourg, they find countless expats like themselves. Wealth flows with no need for explanation. Kate tries to fall in step with this new way of life and enjoy it, but her training as a spy keeps making her restless. She becomes suspicious of their new friends, and even of her own husband. What she begins to uncover means she can't turn back.
General consensus: If you liked the movie Mr. & Mrs. Smith, you're going to love this book. It's the same kind of big fun. 🍿
