Olivia Twist by Lorie Langdon
This is the story of Oliver Twist grown up. The thing is, Oliver, or "Ollie" passed as a boy on the streets because it was the safer route to go. As an adult, Ollie can be who she really is-- a beautiful lady named Olivia.
Olivia lives with her uncle in London and has access to high society. She still lives by her old ways, and pilfers things from the wealthy homes she visits, but she's a Robin Hood. She robs the rich to feed the homeless boys she helps on the wrong side of town.
There is an attractive, magnetic man named Jack MacCarron who also attends these parties. Olivia is shocked to find him stealing in the next room and even more shocked when she discovers that he's actually Dodger who kept her safe as a kid.
Olivia and Jack are drawn together yet they have different roads to take, so they cannot be together. Or can they? It's an alluring adventure and I couldn't have had more fun reading about these two.
General consensus: Great writing. Captivating and fun historical fiction.
