At first I was lost. I didn't know who Timothy was and I didn't know why the narrator Delia was so upset about something that had happened with him. The whole first chapter I just had question marks in my eyes. It made me wonder if the novel could be spared or if I'd just be too frustrated to go on.
As it turns out, the more I read the more engrossed I became. Reading about Delia recovering from her drug addiction was certainly inspiring but it wasn't until her best friend--and I mean best friend in the deepest sense possible--, Timothy, was dying of AIDS that I became consistently teared up due to being so moved.
General consensus: This is an amazing story of addiction and recovery that will shake you to your core.
