This launches David into an exhaustive introspective journey on how to avoid what he feels is his doomed fate. Of course, he has to rename himself to trick fate from finding him and his name becomes Justin Case.
Along the way he becomes a model and nearly misses a plane crashing on top of him. It's really, really weird and Charlie is by far the best thing the book has going.
General consensus: WTF? But I gotta say, the quality of writing was superb.
