It was infuriating. On the back it tells you that the narrator is in love with a vampire yet the book drags on for 200 pages before she realizes he's a vampire. Ugh! The writing was simple and that's fine because it's a young adult novel but there was too much of it. I got bogged down in the mundane. I felt like this was completely amateur. In my humble opinion it would behoove Ms. Meyer to touch quickly on the details of a character's day and then go in depth into a particular moment to reveal personalities and plot. And the dialogue? Sheesh! Edward and Bella just talked about the same stuff over and over. Spare me.
General consensus: They're making this into a movie! I hope that the bulk of it is the showdown at the end. Otherwise snooze-fest.
